Meine Arbeit Dahinter besteht aus
analogen Kleinbild-Fotografien, die 2022 in Berlin, dem Umland, sowie in Litauen und Lettland
entstanden sind. Die Orte spielen für die Arbeit jedoch nur insofern eine Rolle, als dass sie auf
das „Wieder-Unterwegs-Sein-Können“ nach den Lockdown-Zeiten während der Corona-Pandemie
verweisen. Mir war vielmehr wichtig, scheinbar menschenleere Orte und Plätze in
verschiedenem Licht erscheinen zu lassen und hierbei den fotografischen Fokus mal auf den
Vordergrund, mal auf den Hintergrund zu lenken.
Dahinter erzählt von
Geschichten, die an diesen Orten und Plätzen stattgefunden haben
ohne sie zu kennen. Dem Betrachter bleibt es
selbst überlassen, sich diese vorzustellen oder aber sich auf das Geheimnis darum einzulassen.
Dahinter ist eine lyrische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Sichtbaren und Unsichtbaren, mit vermeintlichen Möglichkeiten und dem Verschwinden davon.

My work Dahinter/ Behind consists of analog 35mm photographs taken in 2022 in Berlin, its surroundings, as well as in Lithuania and Latvia. The locations play a role in the work only in that they refer to the ability to be "on the move again" after the lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. What was more important to me was to present seemingly deserted places in different lighting, shifting the photographic focus between the foreground and the background.
Behind tells stories that have taken place in these locations without revealing them. It is up to the viewer to imagine these stories or to engage with the mystery surrounding them.
Behind is a lyrical exploration of the visible and the invisible, of apparent possibilities and their disappearance.
